Currents of Transition: Water, Energy, and Farming along an Italian River is a relational mapping project of the Po River Delta. This project draws out the temporal and spatial dimensions of energy transition and presents the way in which transition relates to many different imaginaries of power, social and spatial differentiation through its rootedness in its commodification of natural resources and the labour associated with their use. The project asks: what do energy transition schemes reveal about the making and unmaking of the Po River delta as a modular form globally? What do they reveal about the ecological transformation of the deltaic coastline?
