Steven Gu

Steven Gu is a Master in Urban Planning student at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. His current research focuses on urban governance, discretionary land use practices and corruption, and international political economy of creative districts. Other research topics include public-private partnerships in transportation technology, active mobility across socio-economic classes, and community-oriented sustainable transportation policy. He is currently a Graduate Student Affiliate at the Harvard Asia Center and a research assistant for Professor Diane E. Davis. 

Prior to Harvard, Steven was at the United Nations ESCAP in Thailand, a former US Fulbright Urban Planning & Sustainable Design Fellow in Singapore, and a project manager at the Urban Land Institute. Originally from Philadelphia, Steven graduated from Swarthmore College with honors in Urban Studies and Political Science.
