LyLena D. Estabine graduated from Harvard with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Data Analytics. At Harvard, her research spanned urban sociology, the non-profit industrial complex in international development, and community-engaged design. This research reached its pinnacle in her honors thesis, "Shaping Chicago," which was awarded highest departmental honors, a Hoopes Prize, and the 3 Minute Thesis prize.

After helping to lead the initiative to write and implement a new, more inclusive student government, the Harvard Undergraduate Association, she led that structure as the student body Co-President in its inaugural year. Her work has been recognized through the 2020 Harvard Creativity Award and the 2022 Obama-Chesky Voyager Scholarship for Public Service.
