Jasmine Nicole Olivier is a Sociology PhD candidate at Harvard University. Her experiences growing up in New York City shaped her passion for the study of race, poverty, policing, and public housing. Prominent themes in her work include social cohesion, community activism, and community control. Her current work examines how organizational and community actors work to address crime and quality-of-life issues within public housing developments.
