Hasibe Akin

Hasibe Akın is a Fulbright Visiting Researcher at Harvard University and a Ph.D. candidate in Landscape Architecture at Istanbul Technical University. Her research, grounded in landscape ecology, develops a framework that bridges ecologists and designers to support biodiversity in dense metropolitan contexts. She is the Principal Founder of Çatı Çiftliği, an award-winning design studio advancing nature-based solutions and eco-awareness programs. Recognized by the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) as a Game Changer and awarded the Women in Landscape Architecture (WxLA) Grant, supported by the Landscape Architecture Foundation (LAF), she is committed to fostering equity, innovation, and climate resilience in urban environments.
